I thought of this costume last minute and made it in less than an hour! I even won best dressed for the night :) You can too!

What you'll need:

Silver Sequin Dress

Undershirt

Pack of silver snowflakes

Mini Silver Tinsel

A headband with the prongs on it

Small Safety Pins

GLITTER

I already had the black turtleneck and you can get it here, but any long sleeve skirt would work! I like the look of the turtleneck under a dress and my booties were black so they matched! The shirt aids in keeping you warm and something to attach the snowflakes on to get the point across if the headband doesn't already. lol I attached the little snowflakes on with the small safety pins and yes they got glitter all over me but I love it and I think it added to my costume!

I bought a silver sequin dress from Target and you better believe I am going to wear it again!! Hello NYE!! I also have a rainbow one because it was just so cute and fit perfect! I bought a size large and I love that it is size inclusive with an XS-XXL.

I made a snowflake crown by cutting the snowflakes end off and overlapping the middle one over the side snowflakes. I bought the pronged headband and it was much easier to hot glue onto. I hot glued the bottom of the two side snowflakes to the head band and then hot glued the middle snow flake to the head band and to the parallel snowflakes on either side making it overlap a bit. Next, I took tinsel and wrapped it around the sides between the prongs, hot glued it to the front, and wrapped it around the other side. Since it has metal, it was very easy to wrap around and you don't even need to hot glue the sides; I just twisted the around itself tightly.

Lastly, to jazz up my costume a bit more I just wrapped the extra tinsel around my wrists and secured it by twisting it together (like the bread tie twists) and tucked it under itself. I used eyebrow gel to make a gentle adhesive and brushed some thin silver glitter on the upper sides of my cheeks and wore a frosted pink lip as the final touches!

Hope you enjoyed my easy peasy costume idea! It's and outside the box idea for any holiday party and gives you an excuse to wear a sequin dress :)
